Wolves 1-1 United: Five(5) Things We Learnt From Another Wolves Bite

Manchester United continued their quest for a first win in 4 attempts over 2018/2019 nemesis Wolves in a 'Monday Night Raw' clash. The game saw Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial's goal cancelled out by a Ruben Neves stunner. Here are five things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the match. 1) WAN-BISSAKA BUS STOP What a player! What a signing! Another day at the office, another magnificent 'Isakaba' performance from United's 'tear rubber' £50m signing. The former Palace man has wasted no time in making that right back slot his own, bombing up and down the right and showing extreme defensive reliability. So far so good, it is safe to say, our right back problems have finally been solved. #ManUtdNaijaFM's man of the match. 2) A TALE OF TWO HALVES The first half of the game saw United drop in arguably the most organised performance since Ole took over. The Red Devils retained the bulk of possession with attacking intent, w...

Fulham 0-3 United: 5 Things We Learnt As United Hammered Fulham

It was a wonderful Saturday afternoon for United as yet again under Olè Gunnar Solskjaer, three points were loaded into the Manchester United 'truck', garnished with a clean sheet. Here are five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the victory at Craven cottage: 1. NO ANTI-VIRUS United's 'Swaggerlicious' midfielder, Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba, was labelled a 'Virus' by United's former manager. He has continued to show the kind of virus he is- a virus that destroys opponents! The beautiful thing is, there doesn't seem to be an anti-virus for him as he has now scored 8 goals and 5 assists since Ole took over. His 'bullet' shot today was incredible and left Fulham's keeper speechless. 2. TILL 2024 !! French midfielder and 'tormentor-in-chief' of right backs, Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial was at his best today, with an assist and a beautiful solo goal. The young lad recently signed a five-yea...

Chelsea 2-2 United: 5 Things We Learnt From The Battle At The Bridge

A thrilling game at Stamford Bridge saw Manchester United and Chelsea share the spoils. The Blues seemed headed for yet another chance win against United, until two 'CHIVITAstic' finishes from Martial turned the game in United's favour. Here are Five(5) things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash. 1. ANTHONY 'IKECHUKWU' MARTIAL TO THE RESCUE What a performance on the biggest stage. The French winger scored two 'fearfully and wonderfully' made goals to put United in the lead after going behind to a Chelsea goal. He has now scored 3 goals and assisted 1 in his last 3 starts for United. Another day at the office, proving yet again why he's United's best option on the left. At this point, Alexis Sanchez should either be played on the right wing, or RIGHT BENCH. 2. FIRST HALF 'KPALAVA' Another day, another horrible first half performance from the Red Devils. The Red Devils started the match with their 'anywhere-bele-face...

United 3-2 Newcastle: 5 Things We Learnt From 'Old School' United

Manchester United welcomed Newcastle to Old Trafford amidst 'amebo' gist up and down pointing at José Mourinho's sack. 2 Newcastle goals in 10 minutes  felt like it was over for United. A Fergie-like 2nd half revival saw United reply with 3 goals to end the tie at 3-2. Here are five(5) things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash. 1. UNITED PLAYERS ARE NOT ON STRIKE Watching the attitude of the players today, especially in the 2nd half, it was clear that the players had followed the footsteps of the 'NLC' and suspended their rumoured strike, to put in a 2nd half performance showing passion and grit. 2. PAUL 'IKENNA' POGBA IS A PROFESSIONAL Despite being the most criticised at United at the moment, and the only one who's rift with the boss is no longer a rumour, the Frenchman still stood tall today with a world class performance at the heart of United's midfield. To add 'goat meat to his stew', the French maestro laid on...

AC MILAN 1-1 UNITED (8-9 Pen): MAN UNITED NAIJA FM MATCH REPORT.

As part of the pre-season preparations, Mourinho's Manchester United faced ex-midfield 'Bakassi boy' Guttuso's AC Milan in the International champions cup competition. The match started out with both teams playing like it was a world cup final. Within 10 minutes, both sides had already missed good chances with Manchester United's new goalkeeper signing, Lee Grant making a great save. In the 12th minute, 'Awoof' signing Alexis 'Balogun' Sanchez picked a delightful flick from Mata and before eyes opened and closed, the ball was dancing 'One-corner' in the net. While the celebration of the goal was going on, an equaliser came from Jesùs Fernandez. The reply was so fast that many fans thought it was the replay of Alexis's goal.  It was hoped that the match was going to be a harvest of goals but that did not happen as no extra goal was scored until the end of 90 minutes.  The game went into penalty shoot-out an...

REDS AT RUSSIA 2018: FIVE(5) THINGS WE LEARNT

Before we finally shift our focus to the return of club football, before the tension of another fast and furious season kicks in, here are five things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from United's representatives in the Russia 2018 World Cup. 1. DE GEA'S MEMORY CARD FULL In an unfortunate turn of events, David 'Osinachi' De Gea ruined his chances of being named Goalkeeper of the Year with his performances for Spain at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The 'Igwe' of goalkeepers, English Premier League chapter faced 12 shots(including penalties) at the World Cup and saved just 1. Could it be that he saved too much shots for Manchester United during the past season? Could it be that his memory card for saving shots is full? Whatever be the case, we wish him safe journey back to Manchester and we hope he has formatted that memory card in preparation for the new season. Still our number one! 2. POGBA DESERVES SOME ACCOLADES World cup U20 winner Serie A winner ...
