IT'S 'MARTIAL-ARTS' TILL 2024!!!

At last, it has happened. Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial, the 'Embarraser-in-chief' of right backs, has signed a new contract to keep him at the club till June 2024. Martial joined Manchester United as a teenager during the reign of 'Oga Philosophy', Louis Van Gaal, from AS Monaco. Now aged 23, he has made 162 appearances and scored 46 goals since making his debut for the club against Liverpool in September 2015. Anthony Martial said: “I am loving my time at this club.  From the day I joined I have been made to feel part of the United family and I have been incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by the warmth and love of our fans, who continue to amaze me with their support. “I would like to thank Ole and his coaching staff for their belief in me and for helping me to take my game to the next level.  This club is all about winning trophies and I am sure the next piece of silverware is not that far away.” After weeks of intense spec

United 2-2 Burnley:5 Things We Learnt As United Snatched A Point.

It was a Never-say-die performance as Manchester United came back from a 2-0 deficit to deny Burnley a 1st win in Old Trafford since 1962.  Two goals in five minutes from Lindelof and Pogba saved a point for United. Here are five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from this Fergie-time draw. 1. NOT RASHFORD'S DAY . United's number 10 who has been in fine form had a tough time trying to break down Burnley's defence. He missed a glorious chance in the 1st half which would have changed the course of the game. It wasn't his day as all his goal attempts met a brick wall called Tom Heaton, the Burnley goal keeper. 2. A DAY TO FORGET FOR PERREIRA. The young Brazilian was given his first start in 6 months in place of Ander Herrera. He started off brightly, keeping it simple and stabilizing the midfield. Things however went sour in one minute of indecision which saw him lose the ball in a dangerous position, leading to the 1st goal...We hope t

Why Chelsea's EFL Cup Win Over Tottenham Is A Blow For Solskjaer

Tottenham's defeat against Chelsea was bad news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United 's hierarchy will have been impressed with Mauricio Pochettino's humility in defeat, says former Arsenal player and Skysports pundit, Paul Merson. Spurs let another opportunity to win silverware painfully slip away from them at Stamford Bridge on Thursday when they lost on penalties to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final. Pochettino, despite having Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son unavailable, did not look for excuses for the defeat, which will have been noted by the United hierarchy, according to Merson. "Tottenham's defeat at Chelsea doesn't help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer," he told Sky Sports. "Manchester United will have been watching from a distance and yet again he showed he's a class act in defeat. How many managers do you see moaning about how unlucky they were to lose on penalties? Pochettino was gracious. "Oth

Arsenal 1-3 United: 5 Things We Learnt As United Dumped Arsenal

It was the biggest 'exam' so far for Solskjaer, as United went away to the Emirates for the 4th round FA cup clash. The ex baby-faced assassin came out with a distinction as United thrashed Arsenal 3-1 in style. Here are 5 things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from this clash: 1. GOOD DAY AT THE OFFICE. Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku and Alexis 'Balogun' Sanchez were given a start in the attack and they were brilliant. Romelu became a  goal 'importer and exporter' as he provided 2 beautiful assists for Lingard and Alexis. Alexis on the other hand scored a 'Malta-Guinness-I-feel-good' goal at his former ground!.....Great day at the office indeed. 2. THE OLD SCHOOL United scored two traditional counter attack goals very well known in the old Manchester United culture. The counter attacking moves were reminiscent of the days of Rooney-Ranaldo-Tevez, Scholes-Giggs-Nilsterooy, etc. In his playing days, in 1997, Solskjaer himself finished

Manchester United's 'swaggerlicious' midfielder, Paul Pogba has revealed the other midfielders he watches to improve his game. Solskjaer Reveals His First Choice Penalty Taker!

New caretaker boss and former 'baby-faced assassin', Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has had a blissful start to his career as United's manager with 7 straight victories in all competitions. United have scored 19 goals along the way, conceding just 4 goals. So far, United have had 3 penalties awarded in their favour. These have been taken by the players who were directly fouled. Jesse Lingard scored from the spot against Cardiff, Juan Mata against Reading and most recently, Paul Pogba against Brighton. So the question of who Solskjaer's number one choice is for penalty duties has arisen. MUTV's Stewart Gardner asked Ole to clarify the situation and the caretaker boss said: “Paul is the penalty taker, but we have got players who want to take penalties and that is the key. If they want to take it, they can argue among themselves but Paul is the nominated one. ”He scores them, which is what matters. I wouldn’t have done it that way. I would have run to

Andy Cole Reveals Reason Behind Lukaku's Poor Form And Drops Helpful Advice

Manchester United legendary striker, Andy Cole has dropped his opinion on Romelu Lukaku. The former England striker spent six years at United where he won numerous trophies. He is most fondly remembered for his formidable strike partnership with Dwight Yorke, which saw them deliver 53goals in the  1998/1999  season. Its safe to say Manchester United striker has not had a wonderful time at United this season. The 75million striker showed promise in the  2017/2018  season, scoring 27goals in all competitions as well as adding 'jara' with 9 assists in all competitions. Ole 'Ugonna' Solskjaer has already made his best signing according to former player, Paul Parker. In an interview with talkSPORT, Paul Parker stated; "Mike Phelan may be the best signing the Manchester United have made, him coming back, he should never have been allowed to leave in the first place when David Moyes came in.
