UNITED 2-0 SWANSEA: Five Things We Learnt As United Swept Off Swansea.

After 3 weeks of holiday from Premier league action, Manchester United hosted Swansea City at Old Trafford for a league clash. Two goals from Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku and Alexis 'Balogun' Sanchez were enough to secure a 4th straight win. Here are five things Man United Naija FM learnt today: 1. 100 'GBOZA' FOR LUKAKU United's Striker-in-chief, Romelu Lukaku scored his 26th goal of the season and his 100th Premier league goal making him the youngest foreign player to achieve the feat.  The big Belgian had a terrific game, combining well with Lingard (whose movements were fantastic today) and Alexis to score a 'photocopy' of his goal against Saudi Arabia during the international break. 2. IT WAS ALEXIS' DAY The Chilean who has struggled since joining United from Arsenal suddenly came alive today. Everything worked for him. He lost the ball a few times and successfully recovered it. He capped his performance with an

Likely United Line-up vs Swansea after Jose's update on four key players.

Photo credit - Getty Images Manchester United are set to resume EPL duties on Saturday afternoon, with a clash against Swansea City at Old Trafford on the cards. In line with customs and traditions of the land, José 'Uchenna' Mourinho held a pre-match press conference where he dished out the latest team news alongside injury updates on the United squad. According to the boss, the squad will be boosted by the return to full fitness of Ander 'Akinbode' Herrera, as well as key defenders, Phil 'Osaze' Jones and Marcos 'Odegbami' Rojo - both of whom have not appeared for United since January. Photo credit - Getty Images The Argentine no-nonsense defender was among those who suffered a 6-1 brutality at the hands of Spain during the international break. On the positive side at least, he got 90minutes under his belt to boost his  match sharpness. United however will still face the Swans without the services of Daley Blind and Sergio Romero. A

INJURY UPDATE ON UNITED'S GOALKEEPER.

Manchester United's 'power bank' goalkeeper Sergio 'Odeshi' Romero, was involved in a serious injury incident on Tuesday night. He was in goal for Argentina against Spain with his team mate David 'Osinachi' De Gea in the opposite goal post. Early in the 1st half he was involved in a collision with Chelsea's ex-hitman Diego Costa and sustained a knee injury. The ever smiling Romero was hauled off and replaced with Manchester City's Caballero. Photo credit: Sportsmole He subsequently had some tests done and the Argentine FA has  released a statement : " Sergio Romero suffered some trauma to his right knee. The tests have ruled out any serious bone or ligament damage". This is good news for Manchester United as Romero has been a very reliable and dependable back up to De Gea; a super 'power bank' indeed. To spice the news, his injury and substitution may have been a blessing in disguise as Romero was saved from

Has David De Gea just confirmed his Manchester United stay?

Photo credit - Getty Images Manchester United's Spanish 'goalkeeper-in-chief', David De Gea appears to have given the latest clue that he's ready to commit to the club, rather than be drawn by ongoing interest from Madrid. Our very own David 'Osinachi' De Gea came within moments of joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2015, only for documentation issues(broken fax machine) to stop the move....(Three 'gboza' for that fax machine). He has since continued his rise at United ever since, developing into a goalkeeper viewed by many as the best in the world. Photo credit - Getty Images While reflecting on the difference between England and Spain within the week, the goalkeeper was keen to point out his preference for England. "In the end, in England I receive great affection and respect that I do not notice so much here(in Spain)," he said. “But every time I come to the national team I feel fondness inside and it is the most import

OFFICIAL: Pa Zlatan 'Ekwueme' Ibrahimovic Departs United.

Photo credit - Skysports Manchester United's 36 year old 'talk-na-do' striker, Pa Zlatan 'Ekwueme' Ibrahimovic has left the club after an agreement was reached to terminate his contract, with immediate effect. The veteran Swedish striker who arrived United on a free transfer in the summer window of last season, scored 28 goals in his 46 games to lead United to Europa League and Carling Cup glory. Photo credit - Getty Images An unfortunate cruciate ligament injury in the Europa League brought his 'FANTA-bulous' debut season to an abrupt end. A one-year contract extension however  ensured he remained a Red Devil entering into the 2017/2018 season. The injury persisted with its effect on the 36 year old restricting him to 7 cameo appearances this season. He still managed to score one signature 'Zlatan-stic' goal. UNITED TO FACE TOTTENHAM IN FA CUP SEMI-FINAL

Photo credit - The FA The FA Cup semi-final draws have been made, with the matches to be played over the weekend of 21-22 April. The draw sees Manchester United match up against Tottenham Hotspurs, while 'bad bele' rivals Chelsea will be taking on Southampton in the other semi-final clash. Photo credit - MUFC United will be hoping for a 'do-me-i-do-you' result, after suffering a 2-0 loss to Spurs in their last League meeting at Wembley in January. The last time United met Tottenham in the FA Cup was in 2009, where two goals from Dimitar Berbatov and 'Ichie' Paul Scholes sealed a 2-1 win for United. We hope José 'Uchenna' Mourinho and his troops take this FA Cup matter serious, as this is our last shot at finishing the season with any silverware...we don't wanna hear any 'story for the gods' after the match. OPINION POLL Do you think United will make it to the final? Let's have your thoughts. GLORY GLORY MAN UNI

UNITED 2-0 BRIGHTON: 5 Things We Learnt As United Brightened The Mood.

With the gloom of the Sevilla loss hovering over Old Trafford, Manchester United hosted Brighton in another knock-out match; the FA cup quarter final. A goal each from Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku and Nemanja 'Agu' Matic was enough to send United through to the FA cup semi-final. Here are five things Man United Naija FM learnt from the clash: 1. 25-GOAL LUKAKU United's Striker-in-chief continued to shut his critics up with another goal against Brighton, to take his goal tally to 25 this season. The big Belgian headed home a 'choco-milo' cross from Matic to score his 12th goal in 11 FA cup appearances. Lukaku clearly loves the FA cup and we hope he can win it for United this season. 2. EXCELLENT MATIC The midfield general Nemanja 'Agu' Matic had an excellent game against Brighton. His injury time 'bulala'(whip) shot against Crystal Palace appears to have opened his goal scoring chapter for United. It was

MANCHESTER UNITED EXTEND DEFENDER'S CONTRACT UNTIL 2021

Photo credit - worldsoccer Manchester United defender, Marcos Rojo has just signed a new contract which will  keep him at the club until at least 2021. The Argentine no-nonsense defender's deal was set to expire in 2019, with 'amebo' gists linking him with a move away to PSG in recent times. The 27year old has however decided to commit to Manchester United till 2021, with the option to extend for a further year. Photo credit - Zimbio/Getty Images After struggling to find his feet mostly at left back under the tutelage of 'Oga Philosophy', Louis Van Gaal, Rojo's fight to stake a claim for the first team has reaped rewards, with José 'Uchenna' Mourinho getting the best out of him at centre back. Since his signing in 2014, Marcos 'Odegbami' Rojo has won an FA Cup, a League Cup, the UEFA Europa League and a Community Shield. UNITED 1-2 SEVILLA: FIVE MATTERS ARISING AS SEVILLA SENT UNITED PACKING

Photo credit - Mufc/Getty Images Manchester United welcomed Sevilla to Old Trafford for one of the most crucial games of the season thus far, with high hopes of progressing. However, Two goals in 5minutes from Ben Yedder was more than enough to end the Champions League dream at The Theatre of Dreams. Here are five matters arising from this unceremonious exit: 1.....AND FELLAINI RETURNED José Mourinho's adopted son and panic button 'Oga' Fela, who had been out for almost 3 months returned and was thrown in straight into the starting XI . It was painful to see the boss do this. A Matic - Fellaini 'collabo' against a fast, free flowing side like Sevilla? That was asking a Benz 4-Matic to race against a 'Keke-na-pep' (tricycle). 2. WHY CHANGE A WINNING TEAM? WHY? Why José Mourinho decided to do what we call in Naija 'Try ya luck'  on a crucial night like this remains a mystery. A consistent team had just won 3 straight games with goo

Photo credit - manutd.com Manchester United are set to take on Sevilla in a high stakes clash tonight, with one of the teams set to be knocked out of the UEFA Champions League 2017/2018 campaign. The Red Devils came off the first leg with a risky goalless draw, which could turn out destructive for United if the match ends in a draw with goals from both sides. In line with customs and traditions, José 'Uchenna' Mourinho held a pre-match press conference where updated the press on the latest team news and injury updates. According to the boss, United are set to welcome back Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial to the squad, as he has recovered fully from the injury which kept him out of United's win against Liverpool. The French dazzler was pictured training on Monday alongside Pa Zlatan 'Ekwueme' Ibrahimovic, who continues to build up his fitness ahead of a return to first team action. JOSÉ MOURINHO DESTROYS EX-PREMIER LEAGUE MANAGER

Photo credit - Getty Images Manchester United manager, José 'Uchenna' Mourinho has hit back at former Crystal Palace boss Frank De Boer, following his 'amebo' comments after Rashford's winning brace against Liverpool. Photo credit - Getty Images When asked about Marcus Rashford's performance in the 2-1 win over Liverpool at the weekend, Frank De Boer said, "It's a pity that the manager is Mourinho, because he's an English player and you want him to be given time," the former Crystal Palace and Ajax boss told BT Sport . De Boer added: "He can make mistakes but Mourinho is not like that and if he has one or two not good games then he puts him out. Our very own José 'Uchenna' Mourinho duly replied the 'amebo' on Monday saying, "I read some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank de Boer - seven matches, seven defeats, zero goals". UNITED 2-1 LIVERPOOL: FIVE THINGS WE LEARNT AS LIVERPOOL WALKED HOME ALONE.

Manchester United hosted 'bad-bele' rivals Liverpool to a Saturday afternoon fiasco at Old Trafford. Two freshly baked goals from our own Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini' was enough to ensure that Liverpool walked back home ALONE. Here are five(5) things Man United Naija FM learnt from the clash:. 1. 'SALAH-D' WITHOUT CREAM. Prior to the game, the big question was "how do we neutralize Moh Salah?". Our own dressing room DJ, Ashley Young had the answer as he came with the Salah 'padlock'. All of Salah's fancy play(cream) was missing. To add salt to the injury, Salah had only one shot in the game which was so high that it was recovered in an Arik aircraft. Brilliant man-of-the-match performance. 2. RASHFORD RETURNS. After months of goal drought and poor form, United's  'whiz-kid' Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini', popped up at the time it mattered most with 2 lovely goals. His first was particularly
