United 3-2 Newcastle: 5 Things We Learnt From 'Old School' United

Manchester United welcomed Newcastle to Old Trafford amidst 'amebo' gist up and down pointing at José Mourinho's sack.

2 Newcastle goals in 10 minutes  felt like it was over for United. A Fergie-like 2nd half revival saw United reply with 3 goals to end the tie at 3-2.

Here are five(5) things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash.

1. UNITED PLAYERS ARE NOT ON STRIKE
Watching the attitude of the players today, especially in the 2nd half, it was clear that the players had followed the footsteps of the 'NLC' and suspended their rumoured strike, to put in a 2nd half performance showing passion and grit.

2. PAUL 'IKENNA' POGBA IS A PROFESSIONAL
Despite being the most criticised at United at the moment, and the only one who's rift with the boss is no longer a rumour, the Frenchman still stood tall today with a world class performance at the heart of United's midfield.

To add 'goat meat to his stew', the French maestro laid on a FANTA-bulous backheel assist for Martial's goal. #ManUtdNaijaFM's Man Of The Match.

3. ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!
With the United boss setting  up his team with 2 defensive midfielders in Matic and McTominay, it was set to be another slow 'Amaka' United performance, up until Newcastle scored 2 goals. This prompted José to change his plans to all out attack.

His attacking set up paid off in the end, as the fear of Martial, Mata, Lukaku, Pogba and Alexis breaking the Castle walls down, made them concede 3 goals in the space of 30mins.....'Attack Attack Attack' will restore the United fear factor!

4. MOURINHO LISTENED TO FANS' 'ALEXIS CRY'
After months of United faithful calling for Alexis to be placed on United's troublesome right wing, it appears the boss has finally heard the cry.

With Martial embarrassing his Newcastle markers on the left, José Mourinho put in Alexis Sanchez on the right, and it paid off with the Alexis-Martial combo causing 'double wahala' on either flank.

5. GOALSCORERS DELIGHT
What a day! United winning with 3 comeback goals from scorers who had almost been deemed as useless as palm kernel shells in front of goal.

Great Confidence boost we hope for Juan Mata, Alexis who registered his first Premier League goal of the season and 4th of his United career, as well as Martial who scored his first goal since January (before Alexis' arrival).

IN THE END, it was a COKE-astic comeback performance from the lads, after a terrible first half. At this rate, the José sack rumours will have to take a back seat. Kudos to the players who fought hard to make sure United fans don't hide their faces for the next two weeks.
