Manchester United kicked off the international champions cup competition as part of pre-season preparations.


It ended 1-1 at full time and went into penalties. It turned out to be a goal harvest as 26 shots were taken by both teams and the scoreline ended 9-8 in favour of Manchester United.

As part of the pre-season preparations, Mourinho's Manchester United faced ex-midfield 'Bakassi boy' Guttuso's AC Milan in the International champions cup competition.


The match started out with both teams playing like it was a world cup final. Within 10 minutes, both sides had already missed good chances with Manchester United's new goalkeeper signing, Lee Grant making a great save.
In the 12th minute, 'Awoof' signing Alexis 'Balogun' Sanchez picked a delightful flick from Mata and before eyes opened and closed, the ball was dancing 'One-corner' in the net.

While the celebration of the goal was going on, an equaliser came from Jesùs Fernandez. The reply was so fast that many fans thought it was the replay of Alexis's goal. 
It was hoped that the match was going to be a harvest of goals but that did not happen as no extra goal was scored until the end of 90 minutes.
