United 2-2 Burnley:5 Things We Learnt As United Snatched A Point.

It was a Never-say-die performance as Manchester United came back from a 2-0 deficit to deny Burnley a 1st win in Old Trafford since 1962.

Two goals in five minutes from Lindelof and Pogba saved a point for United.

Here are five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from this Fergie-time draw.

1. NOT RASHFORD'S DAY.
United's number 10 who has been in fine form had a tough time trying to break down Burnley's defence. He missed a glorious chance in the 1st half which would have changed the course of the game.

It wasn't his day as all his goal attempts met a brick wall called Tom Heaton, the Burnley goal keeper.

2. A DAY TO FORGET FOR PERREIRA.
The young Brazilian was given his first start in 6 months in place of Ander Herrera. He started off brightly, keeping it simple and stabilizing the midfield.

Things however went sour in one minute of indecision which saw him lose the ball in a dangerous position, leading to the 1st goal...We hope this doesn't affect his confidence.

3. MATA PULLED THE STRINGS
Juan 'Bankole' Mata was also given a start in Ole's reborn Manchester United and justified his inclusion in the starting XI.

He played as the team's Trequartista with good off the ball movements, runs and passes.
Unfortunately, it appeared Burnley locked their defence with a rusted padlock.

4. A PIECE OF OUR OWN CAKE.
The Burnley goal keeper, Tom Heaton, came prepared for United. He made us have a taste of the frustration other teams experience when De Gea catches every thing thrown at him.

Shots from Pogba(7), Mata(2), Rashford, Lukaku were parried like they were tennis balls. Kudos to Lindelof whose first goal for United secured the point for United in injury time.

5. LIKE PLAYER, LIKE MANAGER.
In his playing days, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was known to shine in games like this where United badly needed a dying minute draw or win.

As a manager, it appears his super-sub spirit has been infused into his team. Trailing by 2 goals for the 1st time, his team showed the same character and got 2 goals in 5 minutes. Once a super-sub, always a super-sub.

IN THE END, It wasn't the result we expected, fans are pleased with the team character.

Kudos to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who now officially has the best start for a manager in Premier league history with 7 wins and a draw, beating the previous record set by Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti.
