Manchester United defender, Marcos Rojo has just signed a new contract which will  keep him at the club until at least 2021.

The Argentine no-nonsense defender's deal was set to expire in 2019, with 'amebo' gists linking him with a move away to PSG in recent times. The 27year old has however decided to commit to Manchester United till 2021, with the option to extend for a further year.

After struggling to find his feet mostly at left back under the tutelage of 'Oga Philosophy', Louis Van Gaal, Rojo's fight to stake a claim for the first team has reaped rewards, with José 'Uchenna' Mourinho getting the best out of him at centre back.

Since his signing in 2014, Marcos 'Odegbami' Rojo has won an FA Cup, a League Cup, the UEFA Europa League and a Community Shield.

Speaking about the contract extension, Rojo said, "Since I joined Manchester United, it has been everything I thought it would be and more. I am extremely happy to extend my stay at this great club."

He added, "When I joined, my aim was to help the team win trophies and we have done that over the past couple of seasons. I am working hard to get back on the pitch. I would like to thank the fans for their support and the manager for the confidence and help he has given me both on and off the pitch"

Congratulations to him on his contract extension, we wish him 'sharp-sharp' recovery from injury, and many more trophies.

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
