UNITED 2-1 LIVERPOOL: FIVE THINGS WE LEARNT AS LIVERPOOL WALKED HOME ALONE.

Manchester United hosted 'bad-bele' rivals Liverpool to a Saturday afternoon fiasco at Old Trafford. Two freshly baked goals from our own Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini' was enough to ensure that Liverpool walked back home ALONE.

Here are five(5) things Man United Naija FM learnt from the clash:.

1. 'SALAH-D' WITHOUT CREAM.

Prior to the game, the big question was "how do we neutralize Moh Salah?". Our own dressing room DJ, Ashley Young had the answer as he came with the Salah 'padlock'.

All of Salah's fancy play(cream) was missing. To add salt to the injury, Salah had only one shot in the game which was so high that it was recovered in an Arik aircraft. Brilliant man-of-the-match performance.

2. RASHFORD RETURNS.

After months of goal drought and poor form, United's  'whiz-kid' Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini', popped up at the time it mattered most with 2 lovely goals.

His first was particularly a delight to watch as he picked up a header from Lukaku, sent Liverpool's right back to "go and buy Gala", and fired home a curled effort..... Beautiful welcome back.

3. THE ASSIST 'MINISTRY IS MOVING'.

United's 'Striker-in-chief', Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku continued with his improvement in overall ball play. The striker has found the goal often in recent times, but has also added assist to his 'ministry'.

He notched his 7th assist in the Premier league today for Rashford and was involved in the 2nd goal. He is currently only behind Pogba with number of assists....Great passion and commitment to the team.

4. ERIC 'OLUSEGUN' BAILLY

The 'No-Nonsense' defender returned from his knee injury lay-off. He put in his usual rugged display which fans had missed.

He however dropped 'palm oil on his white shirt' with an acrobatic own goal in the second half which put pressure on United. Whatever happened, it was good to have our 'Mr No-Nosense' back.

5. SANCHEZ STRUGGLES ON

Our 'awoof' signing Alexis 'Balogun' Sanchez continued his struggles today. Despite starting in the middle behind Lukaku, the Chilean remained guilty of losing possession often and giving poor passes.

His strong point (which is probably why he is still in the  starting XI) remains his never-say-die attitude on the pitch, his recoveries and passion. We hope he finds his good form soon.

IN THE END, a victory over Liverpool is always a delight to savor. All those who assisted in recovering Eden Hazard from Herrera's pocket should be invited again to help recover Moh Salah from Ashley Young's own.
