United 0-0 Liverpool: 5 Things We Learnt From The Battle Field

The super Sunday clash between Manchester United and her old arch rival Liverpool, ended in a 0-0 draw. The draw however saw our 'commander-in-chief' of goalkeepers, De Gea, keep his 100th EPL clean sheet!!

Here are the five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt today:

1. UNITED 4-1 LIVERPOOL
The game started with a rolling out of the injury drums. In the first half, United lost Mata, Herrera and Lingard!! Liverpool also lost Firmino.

It was an injury competition with more injuries than shots on target, and United won 4-1 as Rashford nursed his injury for the entire game. He showed himself as a true United warrior...Kudos to him.

2. NO GOAL, NO ASSIST, NOTHING!!
This is the story of Mo Salah. He has now played four games against United without a goal or assist. I am not sure if he has even had a shot on target!!

Today, he 'added another feather to his cap' by being subbed off. He took so long to come off the pitch as he needed to climb out Luke Shaw's back pocket!!! Kudos to Luke Shaw for taking tutorials from Ashley Young.

3. FROM 11 TO 1.
In December, in the reverse fixture at Anfield, Liverpool gave United a nightmare. They had 22 shots on goal with 11 on target.

Today was different. Even with 10 men (as Rashford was injured), Liverpool had only one(1) shot on target! I'm not sure I remember the shot as De Gea didn't even have to lock the goal post.
Fear factor has truly been restored back to Old Trafford.

4. PAUL 'IKENNA' POGBA
The United goal 'virus' was amazing today. With Matic and Herrera out, the 'Swaggerlicious' midfileder gave up his swagger to keep the fragile midfield together.

He gave his all defensively, sliding into tackles, breaking play and tracking back often. He showed his leadership qualities. Kudos to McTominay for stepping into Matic's role. He was also fantastic.

5. RECORD BREAKING OLÈ!!
The former baby-faced assassin broke another record today. With today's draw, he becomes the premier league manager in history with the highest number of points(26) after his 1st 10 games.

IN THE END, considering the injuries which started before the match (Matic) and the injuries during the match, it was a fantastic result for United. We even had chances to win.

With these injuries, Solskjaer and Carrick may have to warm up to play in our next match against Crystal palace.
