UNITED 0-0 SOUTHAMPTON: 3 MATTERS ARISING AS UNITED DROPPED TO 3RD

Just like last season, Manchester United seem to have fallen apart just after playing Manchester City, as a 3rd consecutive 'Ogbolo soup' dinner was served this evening at Old Trafford.

Here are 3 crucial matters arising from the last match day of 2017:

1. GHOST WORKERS EVERYWHERE
José 'Uchenna' Mourinho shuffled his starting line-up a little with Mikhi and Jesse 'Awilo' Lingard starting. However it appeared the current 'Ghost workers' Naija issue also crept into old Trafford.

Some of the players were nowhere to be found. Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba particularly was almost declared missing in the 2nd half.

2. A RETIRED MAGICIAN?
Armenian talisman Henrikh 'Nwokeoma' Mhkhitaryan was given another life line by José 'Uchenna' Mourinho playing as a left inside-forward after weeks of holiday on Bench Island.

The magician once again failed to produce any magic. Infact, it was an anonymous display, with so many 'Any-where-bele-face' passes and shots from him.

3. SAME PLAN FOR 90 MINUTES
United started the game brightly with some chances created. This soon faded off with Southampton growing in confidence and coming strong into the game.

United however just maintained status-quo: No change of game plan, no re-strategizing. Even with Rashford upfront,  the 'lob-the-ball-to-Fellaini' style continued.

.....Unsurprisingly, the 2nd half was poorer than the 1st as Southampton had developed their 'Odeshi' for our play pattern.

AFTER ALL SAID AND DONE, there were a few positives in Juan 'Bankole' Mata who gave his all, Nemanja 'Agu' Matic, and Luke 'Ajebota' Shaw who seems to be coming back to his best.

However, our title hopes are zooming off at 200km/hr with failed brakes!! We may need reinforcements in January to avoid 'water don pass garri' issues.

Finally, we wish Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku who had to be replaced early in the first having sustained a head injury a speedy recovery.

OPINION POLL :
Should United buy in January to rescue the season? Let's have your thoughts.

 GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
