LIVERPOOL 0-0 UNITED: FIVE(5) THINGS WE LEARNT FROM THE BATTLE AT ANFIELD

Despite the long anticipation, fasting and prayers for United's biggest clash of the season so far, the Red devils failed to create anything that can be described as a positive performance at Anfield. Here are five things we learned from this clash.

1. ERIC BAILLY CONFUSED MOURINHO

With Bailly's sudden absence, Mou came up with a strange formation by playing a struggling Darmian against a Superb Salah, and Young and Antonio 'Dede-one-way' Valencia on the right wing.

The tactic turned out wrong, as it is now safe to say DJ Ashley Young has now lost all his attacking instincts, thus making it seem like United had two right backs on the right flank with Valencia and Young.

Not one of the manager's good days at the office, needs to be more brave and have a go at teams, regardless of the section of the table they belong.

2. UNITED WAS PARALYSED ON THE LEFT .

It was fairly obvious from the view of the team sheet that Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial was going to struggle, as he was being supported for the first time by Matteo 'Sambo' Darmian.

It however turned out to be worse, with Salah using Darmian for Salad through out the game, forcing Martial to drop deep and support the defence, thus unable to influence the game.

3. MHKI NEEDS SOME DELIVERANCE AT BENCH MINISTRIES .

It is now official and obvious for all to see, Mhkitaryan's loss of form is disturbing. A stinker of performance yet again from the Armenian, failing to conjure up any sort of magic through out his time on the pitch.

He's lucky this is not a 'Nollywood' movie, because such a performance would have warranted him being thrown into the 'evil forest'.

.
Needs to buckle up and rediscover his magic, else another extended deliverance holiday beckons at  'Bench ministries'.

4. LUKAKU NEEDS TO BREAK THE ANFIELD CURSE

Another day at Anfield, another blank for Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku. The Belgian forward has failed to score against Liverpool the past 2 years and also missed yet again, his big chance to break that duck.

To be fair, he was given the 'Orphan' role upfront today, isolated without any support whatsoever as United's tactics gave no room for the attacking players to create anything....There's hope as he finally got his 1st shot on target at Anfield in 3years.

5. DAVE SAVES

Describing David 'Osinachi' De Gea as world class is starting to be an understatement. Another standout performance from our Spanish commander in chief of goal post forces, saving everything that came his path.#ManUtdNaijaFM man of the match.

IN  THE  END, it was a very poor performance from United. There was a complete lack of self belief from the 'Oga' at the top, Jose' Uchenna' Mourinho, who didn't want to even attempt to have a go at the less than impressive  Liverpool defence.

However, we'll take the one point at Anfield, as 1 point achieved with a poor performance is better than zero points with a brilliant performance.
