Old Trafford was the ground for some football action for the first time since the covid lockdown and it turned out to be a beautiful evening as United ran out winners with a clean sheet.

Here are five things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the sweet Wednesday victory:

1. 'EVERYWHERE STEW' FOR MARTIAL
The 'embarraser-in-chief' of right backs, Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial was the man of the evening. The French boy was on fire for United as he calmly slotted home United's three goals of the evening.

To add some 'roundabout to the peppersoup', he surpassed his best ever goal tally of 17 goals with his 19th goal of the season after the hatrick.
In Naija we would say "everywhere stew for am today".

2. FINALLY, A HATRICK IN THE EPL!
Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial became the first United player to score a Premier league hatrick since 'Igwe' Alex Fergusson retired!

It has really been a long time Old Trafford witnessed such a moment, a total of 7 years and 63 days!! In Naija we would say "It have really tay".

3. FANTASTIC MATIC!
The build up to the game was all about the much anticipated Pogba-Fernades 'collabo'. It was beautiful to watch.

However the midfield maestro for the day was Nemanja 'Agu' Matic. He was simply brilliant, shielding the back four excellently well like a facemask, locked down the midfield and sanitized the team with forward passes.

4. NO NEED FOR WATER BREAK
Manchester United team going for the water breaks was totally unnecessary today. All they needed to do was send David 'Osinachi' De Gea to go and get the water for them as he was jobless throughout the game.

The first shot at him came in the 83rd minute after the five subs. United's display was completely dominant,  the type we call in Naija, "we no be mate".

5. THE MINISTRY IS MOVING
Indeed, the Manchester United 'ministry is gradually moving to the permanent site'. If not for anything, we have graduated from enduring painfully watching Perreira-Lingard collabo, to Pogba-Fernades duet!

We have now gone 13 games unbeaten, scoring 33 goals and conceding three. Long may this continue!!!

IN THE END, it was a 'Chivitastic' performance by the team. Special kudos to Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini' for his two assists for the man of the evening. Long may your partnership reign!!
