Chelsea 0-2 United: 5 Things We Learnt As United Chiseled Chelsea Again

Manchester United drew out some hot  tears from the eyes of Frank Lampard at Stamford bridge by thrashing his side for the third consecutive time this season.

Here's what #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from this victory

1. VAR IS YOUR FRIEND.
VAR proved to be the second goalkeeper beside David 'Osinachi' De Gea last night as 'he' made two great saves for United, thus helping to secure the three points and a clean sheet.
VAR is a sweet-bitter pill as it can save you one day and crush you on another.  It's motto is "I belong to everybody, and I belong to nobody".

2. FOR BETTER, FOR WORSE
United seem to have found a new wife in Chelsea. From Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge,  from Premier league to Carabao cup, in good form or bad form, we have loved them with goals.

They used to be our 'bad-bele' rivals, but they have now become 'wife material'.

2. DOUBLE-DOUBLE
United have now done a double over Manchester City and Chelsea in the same season for the first time. In the case of Chelsea, the last time United beat Chelsea home and away in the EPL was in the 1987/1988 season!!!

It is good to hear some more good records being created/broken. Fans are tired of bad records.

3. ERIC 'OLUSEGUN' BAIILY
The no-nonsense Ivorian was back in action after a long injury spell. He started off rusty but soon grew into the game and wore his no-nonsense jersey.

His 72nd minute slide to stop Kovacic was the high point of his excellent game. Kudos to him.

4. WORLD HEADING DAY
It was a day of headers. Anthony  'Ikechukwu' Martial and the stone head  himself, Harry 'Okute' Maguire, headed home two beautiful goals to give Chelsea a knockout in the second half.
We need improved plays from wing backs and better set pieces to score more goals like this on days when shots are being blocked or not finding their way into the net.

5. AARON WAN-BISAKA
Our 'Issakaba' boy put up another encouraging display for the second time as a wing back. He had previously been criticized for his poor form going forward.

Last night, he did to Willian what we call 'show me your number' in Naija and then put in a 'party Jollof' cross which Martial finished nicely. More of that.

FINALLY,  congratulations to Captain Maguire on his first premier league goal for United, Bruno 'Oliseh' Fernandes on his first assist, and our own Odion Ighalo on becoming the first Nigerian to put on the United shirt!!
