United 4-1 Newcastle: 5 Things We Learnt From The Boxing Day Knockout

Manchester United overcame an early 'punch' from Matty Longstaff to totally knockout Newcastle with a FOUR-chester United display on boxing day.
Two 'punches' from Anthony Martial and 'jara uppercuts' from Mason Greenwood and Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini' sealed the knockout.

Here are the five things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash.

1. MASON VAN-GREENWOOD
The young star notched his 8th goal of the season in style, latching on to a loose pass from a Newcastle defender, and next thing; "Wooooza!!!!" - a rifle into the back of the net, reminiscent of our former striker-in-chief, Robin Van Persie.

In Naija, we call that kind of shot a 'Shakabula!' The keeper was wise to pretend he didn't see it, otherwise.......

2. 'DO ME I DO YOU'.........
Following a painful 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the reverse fixture earlier this season, the United fans came looking for a reaction and got just that; A dominant display garnished with four goals from Ole 'Ugonna' Solskjaer's chosen front 3 for the event.

In the end, United gifted their fans a sweet boxing day revenge win.

3. M-M-M
This has nothing to do with the unpopular MMM that ruined Christmas in Naija a few years ago. This is about our front three of Martial, Marcus and Mason who made our Christmas celebration complete with their smoking hot performance in front of goal today.
Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial came close to scoring his first senior hat trick but was denied by the post.

4. SUPER FRED.
The Brazilian who has struggled since signing for United has been in fine form and today put up one of his finest displays in a red shirt.

He was everywhere winning balls, getting into tackles, keeping possession and recycling the passes.
It was an 'ORIJIN-al' performance!

5. ONE MORE GAME FOR LINGARD
Our 'Awilo' dancer Jesse Lingard, came on in the second half and as usual, contributed nothing but a pair of fresh legs.

Officially, Lingard now has one last chance against Burnley, otherwise he would have gone through the entire year 2019 without a single Premier league goal or assist....from the No10 position!!

We may need VAR to look back at all the games of the year to see if there's any goal or assist he can be given.

IN THE END, It was a nice boxing day present for United fans, but we need consistency-
