United 4 - 0 AZ Alkmaar: Five(5) Things We Learnt As United Cruised into Europa League 2nd round

Manchester United turned up with a FOUR-chester United performance to seal top spot in their Europa League group stage campaign. Four FANTA-stic unreplied team goals from Mason Greenwood, Young and Mata did the trick for United.

Here are five things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash;

1. MASON GREENWOOD ENJOYING GREEN PASTURES
Maximum composure, brilliant, good link up play, that was the story yet again for United's academy graduate Mason Greenwood in another Europa League outing.

He was needed once more on United's big night and turned up in style with two CHIVITA-stic finishes, reminiscent of former star forward, Robin Van 'Pepper dem' and also causing the penalty duly converted by Mata. The youngster ended up being involved in 6 of United's 8 goals in the group stage (4goals, 2 assists). #ManUtdNaijaFM's man of the match and man of the group stage.

2. ANDREAS PUTS IN A PERFORMANCE
United's 'frustrator-in-chief' in recent weeks put in a performance that reminded fans why he was once seen as a future united starter in the number 10 role. He was all over the pitch, stringing brilliant creative passes, creating space for his teammates with his skills, a true Brazilian midfield performance full of confidence. A good day at the office, we hope to see more of this on a consistent basis.

3. RESULT DIDN'T TELL THE WHOLE STORY
The 4-0 scoreline may have given the impression of a dominant performance from Ole and his boys, but that wasn't the case by any means.

United were bullied and harassed in terms of possession in the first half, failing to string up anything tangible in the first 45mins, and often relying on long balls and half chances as hope for a presentable result.

'Las Las', it ended in praise BUT improvement is required.

4. OLD BOYS PAY THEIR DUES
A good day for the old boys added stew to the rice of the result. A goal for skippo DJ Ashley Young (assisted by Juan Mata), a penalty converted by Juan Mata, and a good performance from injury returnee Nemanja 'Agu' Matic basically sealed the result, with their performances ensuring the resting of the first XI members of the squad wasn't a mistake.

5. OLE OUT CAMPAIGN SUSPENDED
On behalf of the Ole out campaign members, we hereby follow in the footsteps of the electricity distribution company of Nigeria and officially suspend the #Ole out movement till further notice; Victories against Man City and Tottenham, as well as this victory to seal top spot in the Europa league group stage leave us with no choice.
We do hope the 'miracle form' continues and the results keep moving in this direction.

IN THE END, it's nothing but kudos to the Red Devils for their performance and '3 gboza' for Greenwood for his excellent Europa League campaign thus far...more 'ororo' to their elbows
