Everton 4-0 United: 5 Things We Learnt As Everton Evaporated United.

Manchester United fell like crumbs of dry 'Agege' bread in the hands of Everton at Goodison park. It was a shambolic performance from the red devils to say the least.

Here are five matters arising from this embarrasment:

1. 'ONE CHANCE'
The situation with Olè now is what we refer to in Naija as 'one chance'- (a bone stuck in the throat which can neither be spat out or swallowed).

Since he signed his contract, he has now lost six matches, conceded 16 goals and scored six in eight matches!!!
Should United re-instate him as interim boss?

2. CIVIL SERVANTS ON SALARY
Olè may not be super tactician, but the attitude of most of United's current crop of players is shocking.

Most of them are not playing for the badge, or have no idea what it means to play for Manchester United. They are simply like civil servants just earning their weekly wages, playing without passion.

Pogba and Martial particularly played like retired civil servants today.

3. LUKAKU OF CHELSEA
The display of Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku today was a 'photocopy' of his awful days in Chelsea.
He played like he was carrying a bag of cement on his back and a bag of rice on each of his legs.

Ball control, zero, take-ons, zero, Shots, zero. Despite his muscle mass and bulk, the way and manner he was consistently muscled off the ball by lean Everton defenders was shocking.

4. PICKFORD AND THE GALA RUMOUR
Everton's goalkeeper Jordan Pickford had one of his best days as a goalkeeper today.

It wouldn't have made any difference if he had not played the first half as United's first and only shot on target came in the 85th minute.

Infact, rumour has it that during the match, he went out to buy 'Gala and pure water' and returned to find that United had still not had an attempt on target!

5. FRED VS MATIC
For the first time in four games, Fred had a bad day. It was no coincidence that it happened on the return of Nemanja Matic.

Fred had found his new form playing that anchor man role since Matic's injury.

Playing alongside Matic today, he appeared confused. It should be a case of Matic or Fred rather than both of them.

IN THE END, It was an embarrassing performance. Top-four hopes were finally dashed by four unreplied goals, four games to the end of the season!

There was no man or flop of the match today; it was a collective disaster!!
