Barcelona 3-0 United: 5 Matters Arising As Barca Bashed United

Manchester United were shown a 'Palm oil' (red) card out of the champions league after being crushed by a Messi-inspired Barcelona.

Here are five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the champions league exit.

1. FIRST RONALDO, NOW MESSI
The best two players in the world in the last 10 years have somehow found a way to mesmerize the career of our special David 'Osinachi' De Gea.

In the world cup, Ronaldo scored an embarrassing goal against him by shooting the ball between his 'torros'. Last night, Messi did his own, making De Gea concede an unimaginable goal.

Messi and Ronaldo compete with everything and they have now added 'Embarrassing De Gea' to the list of their achievements and competition.

2.  ASHLEY YOUNG
As if his poor performance against West Ham was not enough, the captain gave a horror show against Barcelona.

His only contribution appeared to be charging the players with loud shouts after every goal. Well, he is 33 years old and he is a make-shift fullback.

3. JESSE 'AWILO' LINGARD
The academy graduate once again showed that his best attribute for United is dancing 'Awilo' whenever he scores.

Similar to the West Ham game, he was just a pair of legs in the team yesterday, contributing nothing else.

4. ANTHONY 'IKECHUKWU' MARTIAL
The dazzling French star had another silent night at Cam Nou. He showed some glimpses of spark when on the ball, but as usual his off the ball movements were extremely poor.

He gave Sergi Roberto no problems at all with off the ball movements. Roberto knew that all he had to do was wait for Martial to get the ball and charge at him.

5. FRED
It was another confident and dominant display by the Brazilian. He was everywhere winning tackles, recovering balls, giving brilliant passes and making himself available for the pass in the midfield.

He was the only reason to smile last night. At this rate, Matic may have to sit a while longer on the bench as far as that anchor-man role is concerned.

IN THE END, United raised fans' hopes of another miracle with the first few minutes display, but afterwards crashed, no thanks to errors by Young and De Gea.

This United squad definitely needs a overhauling in the summer if the "ministry is to move to the permanent site".
