United 4-1 Bournemouth: 5 Things We Learnt As United Burnt Bournemouth

Despite the turbulent year for Manchester United, 2018 ended on a super high as new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became only the 3rd manager in Manchester United history to win his first 3 games.

Here are five things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the last game of 2018:

1. ''POGBA IS A VIRUS''
The 'Swaggerful' midfielder had been labelled a 'Virus' in the team, earlier this month. Indeed he is now showing that he is a virus, destroying opponents without mercy.

He has scored 4 goals and made 4 assists in the last 3 games. He was denied a hatrick today by Asmir Begovic and the cross bar. A true 'Virus'!!

2. 'ELECTION' WILL BE TOUGH.
United have scored 41 goals in total this season with 12 goals in the last 3 games alone!!

Before now, fans had only 4-5 goals to choose from every month to vote as goal of the month. Now we already have 12 goals scored by 7 players to choose from.
Voting for goal of the month and player of the month of December will be tough....in a fantastic way.

3. BOMBING FORWARD, PRESSING HIGH
Contrary to what we've seen from United in recent weeks, there have been amazing forward runs by the team during attacking phase of play.

Transition from defence to attack was swift today, with the full backs taking up positions high up and Martial Lingard and Rashford making run-ins behind the Bournemouth  defence.

4. HELP DE GEA!!
With the new life in the team, the players have looked happy, enjoying their football and reaping the rewards of goals.

However, one player is yet to feel the joy of the 'born again' team- David 'Osinachi' De Gea. United has conceded 3 goals and 3 games, leaving the super goalie without a clean sheet.
The defence needs to be more alive; no switch off.

5. ERIC 'OLUSEGUN' BAILLY
The Ivorian 'no nonsense' defender was finally handed a chance to redeem himself after his exile from Josè's team. He failed to take the chance.

The Ivorian was shown a straight to  red card for a very unnecessary and rash tackle and will now miss the next 3 games.

Kudos to the team for the game control even after being one man down......They still had 86% possession in the final 10 minutes.

IN THE END, the goal sharing continued with Lukaku collecting his own share, making it 9 goals in 8 appearances against Bournemouth.
Kudos to Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini' for that snake-bite dazzle that lead to the 1st goal.

 GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
