Young Boys 0-3 United: 5 Things We Learnt as United Spelt 'B-O-Y'.

Manchester United kicked off the UEFA champions league with a clash with Swiss champions Young Boys. As 'young boys', they showed initial 'gra-gra' but were quelled by 3 goals from the French boys Pogba and Martial.

Here are 5 things #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from this clash:

1. A 'POGBA LATE NIGHT SHOW'
United's 'Swaggerlicious' midfielder Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba, converted the champions league opener to a personal show.

Having scored United's 1st EPL goal of the season, he also scored United's 1st champions league goal of the season last night. He then added 'Palm wine to the bush meat' with a second goal and an assist for Martial.

2. MARTIAL AT LAST
Dazzling french forward Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial finally got his 1st goal since January. Playing in place of Alexis, he started off very poorly with his lack of confidence very obvious.

As the game went on in the 2nd half, he grew into the game and gave us glimpses of the Martial we used to know- the 'Embarraser-in-chief' of right backs.

3 SHINING SHAW.
Luke 'Ajebota' Shaw continued his brilliant start to the new season with another stellar performance. The left back ran the lines from defence to attack like he was a linesman and created several  goal scoring chances .

We hope that the new Luke Shaw will remain sure for United this season.

4. FRED THE RED
New Brazilian signing Fred was given another start last night. Clearly, one thing is obvious; he has the ginger of a true United player with his drives, forward passes and strong marking.

However, the Samba boy needs to be more careful with ball possession as he often gave it away putting United under pressure.

5. ATTACKING CONSISTENCY
Starting from the Tottenham game (thought we lost), the team is beginning to have a consistent attacking style of play which fans have craved for.

The ball is played on the ground with some quick passing and less of  'lob-the-ball-to Fellaini/Lukaku' approach. This needs to be continued and improved.

IN THE END, a 3-0 victory was a good way to launch the champions league season. '3 goals with 3 points' is a beautiful rhyme we hope we continue singing.

Kudos to new signing Diogo Dalot who had a good debut.
