NEWCASTLE 1-0 UNITED: 5 Matters Arising As The St James Park 'Palava' Continued

After 6 previous visits to St James Park without a single victory, José 'Uchenna' Mourinho took his squad for a 7th attempt and scored 'F-9' again. A 2nd half strike from Ritchie ensured the Red Devils left empty handed.

These are 5 Matters arising from this clash:

1. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL JOSÉ

José set up his squad in a 4-2-3-1 formation today with Martial on the right again. For the one-thousandth time, Martial on the right will not work. It is as simple as 'Guguru ati ekpa'.

United fans may need a minister of information to help convey this info to the boss....Enough is enough.

2. MR ANONYMOUS

Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba's play today reminded me of 'NEPA's Low current'- Dull and un-inspiring. He was simply anonymous. I think José probably even needed a search party to fish him out for substitution.

The Swaggerlicious french midfielder needs to get his groove back ASAP....There is no time.

3. PLEASE SIR, SANCHEZ ON THE RIGHT!

The arrival of Sanchez has not improved United thus far as evidenced today. Prior to his signing, United's strength has been on the left side of attack. So with him still being played on the left, no much impact.

Currently, I think Sanchez is better than every option United has on the right wing and should be used there (or behind Lukaku) so as to improve play & get the best out of Martial. We still play like 'a man with a right-sided stroke.

4. MARTIAL'S 'VILLAGE' PEOPLE.

It was clear today that Martial's 'village people' were not happy with his recent player of the month award....They came out with their drums today.

The French dazzler missed United's best chances of the day (FOUR!!!) with shocking and unbelievable hits and clearly cost United a possible 3 points today.

5. ROMELU 'TIMAYA' LUKAKU HAS IMPROVED

Despite the sad loss, United's 'Striker-in-chief', had a game to at least applaud. Today, he once again showed his improvement in an area most of his critics have dwelt on: hold up play.

His contribution to United's game is going beyond scoring....Sadly, His good passes and crosses today were wasted.

AFTER ALL SAID AND DONE, the defense slumber may have led to the goal, but we should have buried the game earlier.  José 'Uchenna' Mourinho needs to 'appease the gods' of St James Park.
