UNITED 2-0 DERBY: 5 Things We Learnt As United Slaughtered The Rams

The battle with Derby County (aka the Rams) at Old Trafford was going the 'Nicodemus' way as fans started asking " What must we do to score today naah"? Goals from United's December player of the month and our Striker-in-chief finally sealed the victory.

Here are Five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash with The Rams:

1. LINGARD ISN'T SLOWING DOWN

Our comissioner for dance affairs Jesse 'Awilo' Lingard did it again today. The lad had a good day at the office with good link-up play with Marcus Rashidi-Yekini, Juan 'Bankole' Mata and Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba.

He added 'Nkwobi to his palmwine' by  scoring a beautiful goal, one that could best be described as ORIJIN-al!!

2. MARCUS 'RASHDI-YEKINI ' NEEDS SOME CRUSADE REVIVAL.

The young lad started as the target man in José's 4-1-4-1 set up. His poor form in recent weeks continued as he kept missing glorious chances.

To add 'Tatashêy to the pepper', when he seemed to get it right, he kept hitting the cross bar. Nothing was working. In Naija language we would say 'Na God save am say we win'......The young man needs to 'baf' with some 'goal anointing oil'.

3. CARSON WAS MAN OF THE MATCH

It appeared the Derby goal keeper left his home determined to pour 'San-San into our FA cup garri'. He just kept catching everything- Shot, heading, back flip, free kick, 'Shangalo', etc.

His goal post was locked with an old rusted padlock and so none of United's keys could open it. It was until the final 10 minuted that Jesse 'Awilo' Lingard oiled his key and opened it with his ORIJIN-AL goal.

4. FANTASTIC IMPACT FROM THE H.O.D

The Head if department of United's attack, Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku came in as a 2nd half substitute for Henrikh 'Nwokeoma' Mhkhitaryan.

His impact was impressive as he gave Lingard's assist and finally sealed the victory with his injury time goal. His goal deserves kudos, as he finished a beautiful United-of-old counter attack after 'CHIVITA-stically controlling Pogba's pull-out

5. PAUL 'IKENNA' POGBA.

The swaggerlicious midfielder had a fair game. He gave his all for the team. He showed his class in the midfield. However, he was guilty on several occasions of being a little too casual on the ball.

Overall, the captain gave a good a count if himself with his box-to-box role today. He probably would have had a goal today but it appeared Carson had his 'Mumu button' too.

IN THE END, It was a dominant display from the lads. In this new year, may the goals pour, may the 3 points flow and may Manchester United move to the 'Permanent site'.
