Arsenal 1-3 United: 5 Things We Learnt As United Gunned Down The Gunners

It turned out to be a 'ROYAL RUMBLE' indeed at the Emirates stadium(ring) as Arsene 'Mugabe' Wenger's men battled it out with José 'Uchenna' Mourinho's men.

As with WWF Royal Rumble, a man has to be thrown out of the ring. It turned out to be our dear Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba.

Here are 5 things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt today:

1. DAVID 'OSINACHI' DE GEA
Indeed as his name implies, the Spanish shot stopper is God sent(Osinachi) to Manchester United. He has been saving United since '1800'.

Today, he wasn't only EX-cellent, he was Y-cellent, Z-cellent....Infact, I have this feeling 'De Gea' must mean 'A Wall' in Spanish. Man of the match!!!

2. AN 'ODESHI' PERFORMANCE.
De Gea aside, the defence deserves plenty 'Gboza' for the wonderful disciplined performance today.

Arsene Wenger threw all his cutlass, hammer, hoe, pump action, 'bazooka' etc at United in the persons of Lacazette,  Ozil, Sanchez, Iwobi, Giroud, Welbeck all at once in a 2-1-7 formation.

The only person who didn't play today was Thierry Henry.....Yet, the defence said 'Odeshi, nothing De happen'.

3. THANK GOD FOR MATIC
Whatever was used to speed up Matic's recovery, whether Aboniki or  'Awolowo leaf',  was wonderful. As hidden as it was, Matic also had a man of the match performance.

Breaking up play, closing up spaces, putting 'all body' into shots, etc. Matic was awesome. If he had not played today, it would have been a different story for United.

4. JESSE 'AWILO' LINGARD WAS BUZZING
United's academy graduate for the 2nd game in a row wasn't just FANTA-stic but Zobo-stic.
He buzzed endlessly all over the pitch disturbing the Arsenal defence and midfield like a stubborn fly.
It paid off as his two goals came off his personal hardwork work.
He nearly iced his cake performance with a hatrick. Even his 'Azonto' dance was on point...Man of the match contender.

5. PALM OIL ON A WHITE SHIRT
The Red card to our Swaggerlicious midfielder Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba was a heartbreaker. Indeed, the red colour of the card felt like a palm(red) oil stain on a neatly ironed white shirt.

Pogba was phenomenonal today, holding up play, picking the right passes and quickly transforming defence to attack. He added 'Suya to the matter' with two lovely assists....Another man of the match contender.

He was really unfortunate with the red card...Sad to say,it seemed like a right call by Andre Marriner.

IN THE END, If Arsenal had won today, it would have been the 3rd time in a row at home.....But we serve a living God. In Naija we would say ' God pass dem'.

UP NEXT, CSKA Moscow;  Same time, Same station, on Tuesday.
