TODAY IN MAN UNITED'S HISTORY: 'IGWE' ALEX FERGUSON.

About the same time 31 years ago in England, in the city of Manchester, the destiny of a great club rested on the shoulders of a young Scot. His name,...............Alex Ferguson; later known as SIR Alex Ferguson aka 'Igwe' Alex Fergie the 'Oba' of Old Trafford Kingdom.

In the summer of 1986, Manchester United signed a handsome Scot as manger. His reign started on a bumpy note, with pot holes and gallops everywhere. After a few years of struggle, almost suffering relegation, he found the magic formula and thereafter reigned supreme.

Like the stars, his trophy cabinet included
- 13 Premier league titles
- 5 FA cup titles
- 4 League cups
- 10 FA Community shields

- 2 UEFA Champions Leagues
- 1 UEFA Cup winners cup
- 1 UEFA Super cup
- 1 Intercontinental Cup
- 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

The man was so used to winning that he almost won the African Nations Cup!!!!

In the summer of 2013, the great 'Igwe' Alex Fergie retired after winning the league as usual with some 'Jara' matches to go.

We will never forget the Magic chewing gum; we will never forget 'Fergie time', we will never forget the Old man jumping and  celebrating a goal like 'Eze on his way to school'; We will never forget SIR ALEX FERGUSON!!

 GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
