Stoke 2-2 United. Five(5) Matters Arising as the Stoke "Curse" Continued.

Despite all the prayers and preparation for this high tension match, Manchester United failed to beat Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium again. Goals from Lukaku and our "Whiz-kid" were not enough to break this "Stoke Curse". Here are five (5) MATTERS ARISING following this draw.

1. MOURINHO PANICKED.
With the background "Stoke wahala" in mind, José changed his winning team and formation starting with a 4-2-3-1 formation, making Pogba the creator-in-chief, moved Mikhi out wide, and played Darmian @ left back.
Herrera was also brought into the starting XI.
Not a bad move, but maybe, just maybe Oga gave them too much respect and should have stuck with the winning team.

2. POGBA IS A BETTER DEEP-LYING PLAYMAKER
The flamboyant French man's influence was at it's lowest today so far this season. He was given the Trequartista role, but failed to influence the game as expected.

Yes, United fans have been singing the Hymn "Matic was bought to free Pogba", but we need to reduce the volume of the song. Pogba is a Central Midfielder/Deep-lying playmaker!!!

3. ZER-O FROM MATTE-O

Matteo "Sambo" Darmian was horrible in the left back position today. He was poor defensively, and (which word is worse than poor) attacking.
The reason Mourinho decided not to go for a left back this season remains a mystery. Most teams now will simply Google "United's weak point" and the result will be "Left back".

4. ANDER "AKINBODE" HERRERA
The midfield warrior was thrown back into the starting XI, but wasn't quite impressive. The fans favourite looked quite match rusty (which was expected) but more importantly, seems to have lost his attacking instincts. I guess he is now too used to to the "Eden-Hazard-Chewing-Gum" role.

5. BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE
Having kept 3 clean sheets ahead of today's game, fans had developed confidence in the defence. However, 2 horror defensive errors cost United 3 points today with Jones and Darmian as culprits. It was a bad day at the office for them.
Lukaku too may have scored, but he missed glorious chances that should have given us the 3 points today. Every 'Yakubu' spirit, we cast and bind!!

IN THE END, after all said and done, Stoke City poured "sand-sand" into our season's 'Garri'.
Kudos must however  go to Magic-Mickhi for another magical assist today.
It may have been a draw, but we scored 2 goals ; 'A draw-soup with meat is better than one without'.

UP NEXT, Basel, SAME TIME, SAME STATION, on Tuesday. Stay tune to ManUtdNaijaFM.
