TRIO NOMINATED FOR EUROPA LEAGUE AWARD.



Pa Zlatan 'Ekwueme' Ibrahimovic, Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba and Henrikh 'Nwokeoma' Mhkhitaryan have all been shortlisted in the final 3 for the 2016/2017 Europa League player of the season.
The shortlist included the likes of Arsene 'Mugabe' Wenger's new striker Alexandre Lacazette, alongside Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini', Ander 'Akinbode' Herrera, Edin Dzeko and a host of others.

The newly signed trio played as sweet as Fresh 'Agege' bread in the campaign, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic notching 5 goals and adding 4 assists in 11 appearances prior to his injury in the quarter finals, while also grabbing his first and only United hattrick in the round of 16 against St. Etienne.


Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba was highly instrumental in the competition, starting all 15 of United's fixtures, rated as the top midfielder having completed the most take ons, passes and highest number of chances created for any midfielder in the competition.
To add groundnut to his 'garri', he scored 3 goals, including one in the final to help United to her first ever Europa League trophy.



Despite only making his first appearance in Matchday 4 of the Europa league, Henrikh 'Nwokeoma' Mhkhitaryan earned the title of United's Mr. Europa league, as he saved his best performances for Europe during the season. The Armenian Magician grabbed 6goals on the road to Stockholm, while adding stew to his rice with a 'Shangalo' winner in the final against Ajax.



The award will be presented for the first time during the UEFA Europa League group stage draw in Monaco on 25 August.
