MANCHESTER UNITED 2-1 SAMPDORIA - ManUtdNaijaFM MATCH REPORT

Manchester United cruised through 'Sampdoria bustop', which happens to be the last bustop of the pre-season tour 2017, with goals from Juan "Bankole" Mata and Henrikh "Nwokeoma" Mhkhitaryan earning the side a 2-1 victory.

Manchester United named a strong side, with Jose "Uchenna" Mourinho trying out a 3-4-3 system, and Nemanja Matic making his debut.

The game had barely started (7 minutes of play) when Daley "Ifeanyi" Blind played a backpass to David "Osinachi" De Gea. The pass turned out to be an accurate shot on goal forcing De Gea to make a super save.....Thank God because, it would have been Blind's best goal of his career!!!!!

The resulting  indirect free - kick from the back pass calamity turned out to be a blessing in disguise . United quickly pounced on the clearance in a counter led by Antonio "Dede-one-way" Valencia. This led to the 1st goal of the night from Magic-Mickhi following a sweet cross from Matteo Darmian.

Sampdoria attempted some "do me, I do you" moves with goal attempts which were futile.

As usual, the 2nd half saw wholesale changes with new boy Nemanja Matic leaving the fray after a decent performance for Micheal "Jeje" Carrick. Martial and Rashford also came on in the 60th minute.

Anthony "Ikechukwu" Martial gave the Sampdoria defenders a torrid time. He kept dancing through and around them with some "Boy Alinco" moves, and eventually in the 81st minute, he "Rectangled" a sweet ball, to Mata who slotted home the goal very nicely.

And so, the pre-season friendlies have finally come to an end on a very good note. Now its time for Business!!!

UP next, Real Madrid, SAME TIME, SAME STATION, ON  TUESDAY. .....Stay tuned to #ManUtdNaijaFM.
