SOUTHAMPTON 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED . WHAT WE LEANRT FROM THE BORE DRAW

Manchester United got their 15th draw of the 2016/2017 season against Southampton whom they made look like South-Barcelona. Here are Five (5) things we learnt tonight:

1.... AND HE SHALL BE CALLED SERGIO 'ODESHI' ROMERO
On a night filled with familiar frustrations,  the Argentine goalkeeper gave United fans something to cheer about. The calm and collected shot stopper kept his goal post intact without any leakage despite the attempted 'punctures'.....We call that in Naija, ODESHI.
To add stew to the rice, he saved the 1st penalty for United in two Years!!

2. THE UP LONG BALLS
United started the game tonight in a similar disturbing style - playing Up long balls to the target man. This hasn't helped United since Zlatan's absence. It's been a familiar occurrence in recent games , forcing one to wonder of that's the only game plan. It makes the team lose possession so easily, keeping them always on the back foot.

3. MIKHI NEEDS TO ADD 'KPOMO' TO HIS GAME
The magical Armenian is obviously struggling to keep pace with the English Premier League.  He is skilful but needs to toughen up like the popular Naija delicacy -"Kpomo"(Cow skin). He needs to keep possession for the team if he is to keep his favoured position as Trequartista.

4. IS UNITED IN GOAL "RECESSION"?
The drought of goals is becoming alarming. United have failed to score more than 1 goal per match in over 7 matches. Tonight, a cross-bar hit from Martial was as close as we could get to a goal.

5. ROONEY GIVES HIS ALL
The all time highest goal scorer for United retained his spot in the starting XI today. He may be past his time, he may be slow and blunt now, but Wayne always gives his all. Tonight, Rooney's desire to give 101% was obvious..... The mind is willing but the Legs are weak.

.........IN THE END, it wasn't a match that meant anything. But for pride's sake, it was sad to see United draw again.
Big Congrats to Michael Carrick who played his 700th game for Manchester United today . UP NEXT, CRYSTAL PALACE SAME TIME, SAME STATION, ON SUNDAY. STAY TUNED.

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.........OLUWA IS INVOLVED.
