CELTA VIGO 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED : WHAT WE LEARNT

Manchester United did not leave the North West of Spain this evening without a 'Souvenir'. A beautiful free - kick was all that was needed to gift United that precious away victory. Here are Five (5) things we learnt tonight :

1. LINGARD'S CONTRACT NEEDS A REVIEW.

The young academy product recently signed a £100k/week deal at Old Trafford, but keeps showing that he is not a United quality player. Like the match against Burnley, he spent more time running- but without the ball. His play today was reminiscent of a popular Naija drama of the 90s-"Willy-Willy", as he was a ghost in the game.

2. MIKHI MAY NEED SOME VACATION TO 'BENCH ISLAND'.
The magical Armenian did not show up again today. He appears to have dipped in form in recent weeks. He was guilty of losing possession too often, did not impose himself on the game and missed a glorious chance. His poor game plus Lingard's aimless running isolated Rashford.

3. FELLAINI TRIED TO GET ANOTHER HATRICK
Just few days after his 19 seconds of 'Afro-juju' madness,  Fellaini again tried to get another hatrick of cards. Today, he was what we call in Naija language, "Short-1" as he offered almost nothing. It was amazing how he kept being muscled off the ball despite his huge size.

4. PAUL "IKENNA" POGBA SHOWED FLASHES OF BRILLIANCE
Pogba bossed the midfield today with his show of strength, skill and drive. Indeed,  he had a good day at the office.  United certainly need more of these performances from her record signing.

5. FATIGUE, FATIGUE AND FATIGUE.
United is experiencing one of the busiest match schedules in their history, and it's beginning to tell on the players as injuries. It appears the injuries in every match are replacing the goals that ought to be scored. The dressing room DJ Ashley Young was the latest to join the injury Squad after less than 5 minutes of play.

.....IN THE END, Marcus 'Rashidi' curled in a beautiful away goal which has taken United a step closer to the 'backyard door' to the champions league. It wasn't a very good play, but we deserved the win. UP NEXT, ARSENAL (OUR WIFE): SAME TIME, SAME STATION, ON SUNDAY.
