MAN CITY 0-0 MAN UNITED (EL-MANCHISCO). WHAT WE LEARNT.

In stark contrast to the Spanish El-classico which witnessed a harvest of goals, the English El-Manchisco ended in a bore draw, with the two Manchester neighbours sharing the points of the day. Here are Five (5) things we learnt:

1. MIKHITARYAN HAS MANCITY-PHOBIA
The magical Armenian once again had a torrid time playing against our Noisy neighbours. The last Manchester derby @ old Trafford  was probably the worst game of his career. Today, playing the Trequartista role, he struggled to impose himself on the game, making Rashford look like an orphan.

2. DARMIAN WAS A MAGNET.
For whatever reason, Mourinho gave Darmian a starting place ahead of Luke 'Sure boy' Shaw and DJ Ashley Young. As usual, he was poor and attracted the attention of City attackers, being the weak link. His poor attacking wing-back play also put extra burden on Martial.

3. "IF ONLY......."
Today, cries of "If only Pogba was fit...." filled the air. He was missed terribly. United lacked that fluid transition from midfield to attack. Hererra and Carrick were too busy attending to defensive duties, and Fellaini had some balls in vital positions that just made you wish ...."If only it was Pogba".

4. 19 SECONDS OF 'AFRO-JUJU' MADNESS.
Oga 'Fela' got one of the fastest Card Hatricks (2 yellows and 1 red) in history following a 19 seconds display of Afro madness. It felt like some 'village people' pressed his 'Kolo' remote control because, the 2nd tackle and headbutt was absolutely needless.

5. CARRICK WAS SUPERB & THE DEFENCE DESERVES KUDOS.
The midfield veteran played at  the deepest line of the midfield three in Mou's 4-3-3 formation. He was given the role of nullifying the De-Bruyne and he did that with class.
Despite the pressure on United, the defense were able to prevent goal leaks: limiting most of City's attacks to long shots.

.....IN THE END, despite being "Another draw", this is probably United's most precious 1 point this season as it leaves the top-four "front door" to champions league still open. UP NEXT, SWANSEA; SAME TIME, SAME STATION, ON SUNDAY. Stay tuned!!
GLory Glory Man United.
