There were some positives from the team update though, with the boss stating that Carrick is available thanks to leaving the pitch on time against St. Etienne.
However, Phil Jones who has been in tremendous form is set to undergo some tests on Saturday, to determine his availability. Wayne Rooney is also likely to be involved in the game, as a consequence of stepping up his training in the past week.
